RODENTS

Did you know that rodents carry leptospirosis and other diseases such as weils disease.

They have to keep their teeth down by chewing and gnawing as they constantly grow and your pipes and homes are perfect for this.

Prevention is always better than cure. when it comes to problem-solving we offer monthly or quarterly services as well as callouts for an efficient and friendly service.

We offer preventative proofing and advice going forward.

MOLE CONTROL

Moles within gardens fields or agricultural land need to be dealt with sooner rather than later as much as they are furry fluffy friends to some the damage and unsightly aesthetics they cause can be huge. On l ground used for livestock or playing fields they can pose a risk to broken legs if not dealt with soon enough with their tunnels and runs.

WASP & HORNET REMOVAL

With our summers becoming frequently hotter and insect life becoming more and more apparent, wasps and hornets are now forming earlier and lasting much later on into the year. please don’t try to tackle wasps by yourself and risk being stung, call us as experts and have us deal with them in a quick orderly fashion.

We also offer a 50% discount for secondary wasps found on the same site.

The wasp cycle...

QUEEN wasps Emerge spring time:- March-may after hibernation during winter period.

The queen initially builds a golf ball sized nest and lays the first WORKER wasps eggs.

These eggs hatch late spring and take over the role of nest building. The queen is now just an egg laying machine producing 200-300 eggs per day!

The nest increases in size while more worker wasps are born. (All worker wasps are sterile female’s did you know)

EARLY SUMMER JUNE-JULY:

Nest population is at peak. The colony is thriving and continuing to build.

LATE SUMMER August-September

The queen stops producing worker wasps and now only produces male wasps. (Drones)

There sole role is to mate with a select few wasps which will

Become next years queens.

After they have mated their role is done and they have their final meal, usually your apple and other fruit trees. The colony is now very aggressive.

AUTUMN: sept-November

Workers start dying off, the new queens emerge and mate with the drones.

The then find a place to hibernate for the winter ready to start a colony of their own next spring.

WINTER: end of Nov-early March.

Queen lies dormant and docile, usually in logs stores/rotting trees or your loft space.
